Two new patterns in my etsy shop:
and......
Another barn painting. I can't remember where I took the photo that I used as the model - perhaps somewhere local? I must remember to add my info from now on.
I'm pleased with this. After 6 months of putting my paints and brushes aside, to have pictures flowing off the tip of my brush - it makes me unbelievably happy! No more pressure - painting just for little old me!
This afternoon's agenda:
working to finish a new wool applique pattern,
paint another barn picture - this one from a photo I took in
Lancaster County PA a few years ago that I DID make note of the
location - and - design a new pattern for more bowl fillers from
a brainstorm I had yesterday.
Maybe a cup of tea now and then!

Two of our neighbors....Mr. Chipster stuffing his face, and a pretty little Mourning Dove resting on our birdbath in the morning...
My latest barn painting... I've started an album of all of my cottage paintings, as well as my barn watercolors and plan to keep it on our coffee table so they don't end up just stashed in boxes. These are my joy to paint, so I really want them close at hand..
And below is my latest pattern design that can be found as an instant download in my Etsy shop:

Listed - another easy little applique pattern that's excellent for beginners and can even be done in fusible cotton or needle-turn techniques instead of wool, as shown.
You can find the pattern in my Etsy shop, and like all of my other patterns, it's an instant download. You won't have to wait to receive it in the mail.

And a good May morning to you! There's just something soothing to me to hear a rooster crowing in the morning. It reminds me of living my earliest years with my grandparents. Gramma raised chickens and I used to be her egg gathering helper. I so remember the warmth of the henhouse, the soft clucking of the hens and that handsome rooster greeting us with a new day.
In memory of Gramma, I've created a little rooster wall hanging pattern. You can find it in my Etsy shop. It's an easy one, so very easy for beginners and advanced alike. I include instructions for how to make it into a wall hanging or door greeter as shown with the buttoned tabs. Mr. Rooster is also suitable for fusible and needle-turn cotton fabric techniques.
Here's the link to where you can find my instant download pattern:
Have a very delightful May morning! Ours is glorious today!
